Residents of Otor Ogor Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State have been called upon to assist security agents in riding off criminal elements from the community.
President General of Otor Ogor Mr Emmanuel Edirin made this known during an expanded meeting with residents of Otor Ogor Community to profer solutions to security inadequacies, curb drug abuse, kidnapping and other criminal vices prevalent amongst youths in Otor Ogor Community headquarters of Ogor kingdom.
The President General while describing the devastating effects of drug abuse, kidnapping and overall insecurity in Otor Ogor, declared that such crimes would no longer be tolerated in the community under his watch.
He stated that his executive has resolved to search for the perpetrators of such crimes and hand them over to security agents for the law to take its course.
Mr Edirin warned residents against preventing the police and other security agents from making arrests in Otor Ogor stressing that the law enforcement agents are only carrying out their lawful duties for the good of society and urged residents of Otor Ogor Community to assist the security agents.
Mr Edirin speaking about those who are involved in land fraud in the community, disclosed that a fine of five hundred thousand naira has been imposed on offenders who sells a particular piece of land to different buyers.
He also hinted that the Local vigilante groups in Otor Ogor have been inaugurated and would assist security agents in protecting lives and properties of residents.

Security Operatives at the event included representative of the Ughelli Police Area Commander and the Divisional Police Officer DPO A Division Ughelli Police command Duru Augustine who also appealed to those present to support security operatives in crime detection and prevention.
They commended President General of Otor Ogor Community Mr Edirin for all his efforts in transforming the community for the better.
Residents of Otor Ogor Community in their seperate remarks promised to continue to give their support to the President General of Otor Ogor Community and his executive.
